Arrest Procedure
As a Law Enforcement Officer, you must have probable cause in order to arrest a suspect. Below is a general outline of an arrest procedure

Upon justification of probable cause, you must place the suspect in handcuffs, and briefly explain the reason for their arrest.

Bring the subject to a safe location, away from roadways, and other imminent dangers. The push bar or just in fron tof your patrol vehicle is a suitable spot. You must now search them before placing them inside of your patrol vehicle.

- Before searching a subject, ask them "Is there anything on you that could poke me, stick me, or stab me, and if so, where is it located?

- If and upon the seizure of any contraband and personal items, these must be stored and dealt with accordingly.

- At this moment, you may read them their Miranda Rights, however this is not necessary until you wish to ask them questions or interrogate them.

Drive sensibly to the nearest station with holding cells. You must now book and file an arrest report for the suspect.

- When driving to the station, you must drive code 1. There are exceptions under extreme circumstances.

Jailing Procedure
As a Whitelisted Officer, you can now jail. You're now held responsible for actions when processing someone. So, you need to follow these rules;.
The maximum time you can jail a subject for is 15 minutes.

Supervisors can jail up to 60 minutes regardless. However, they cannot grant you permission to exceed 15 minutes.

If DOC is active, this then becomes 30 minutes.

if the department of corrections is active, you will be made aware one way or another.

Jailing someone goes as follows:

1. Before jailing, you must have written an arrest report within the MDT.

2. Once this step has been completed, do the command in your text chat /jail and a GUI will appear.

3. Click the little red button in the bottom right corner, named 'Make Arrest'

4. Enter the subject's server ID. (Number above their head)

5. Enter the time (minutes) you wish the subject to be jailed for

6. Within 'Reason' you're going to place the penal codes that the subject has been charged with. You can use the "Copy" button in the penal codes tab of this site.

Make sure you're doing it like this each time, following each step listed. We have logs and will check for mistakes.
